  • Are chiropractic adjustments painful?

No. In almost all cases, there is no pain associated with chiropractic adjustments. In fact, most patients feel immediate pain relief and an increase in range of motion, not to mention other benefits. In a small percentage of patients, there may be some slight pain or soreness during and after the treatment. This is due to the fact that their area of concern is highly inflamed. Usually, some intermittent icing following the chiropractic adjustment will take care of this mild soreness.

  • What are the benefits of chiropractic care and physiotherapy?

According to the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, 8.2% of adults in the U.S. suffer from chronic severe back pain. Obviously, pain relief is a major concern for many of our patients, and both chiropractic care and physiotherapy are excellent in helping to reduce pain. Additional benefits include improved range of motion, improved immune function, decreased tension in the neck and shoulders, stress reduction, better joint strength and stability, improved coordination, and more.

  • How long will my chiropractic treatment take?

It depends on your condition and your goals. We offer three types of care in the office. Our relief care is three treatments per week for three weeks. Our functional correction, or “as near normal as possible care,” is three times per week for nine weeks, at which point we will reexamine and reassess the patient's status. The last type of care we offer is wellness care, and we have several extremely affordable plans to choose from.

At Total Health & Rehab, we want our patients to get healthy and stay healthy. Chiropractic care should be the foundation for everyone’s health routine.

  • Does my insurance pay for chiropractic care and physiotherapy?

We are providers for most insurance plans, and coverage for chiropractic care and physiotherapy is specific to your policy. Please be aware that insurance is geared towards crisis care. Most policies have deductibles and copayments associated with them. We will do our best to verify your insurance coverage; however, we cannot be responsible for errors in the information given by your insurance company. Your account in the office is ultimately your responsibility.

Many of our patients choose to operate under one of our wellness programs in the office. These programs are extremely affordable. This insures (pardon the pun) that you get no surprises.

  • Does my insurance pay for acupuncture?

We do not accept insurance assignments for acupuncture services in the office. Please call the office at 407-522-5858 to discuss the current pricing for chiropractic care and physiotherapy.

  • What happens during the first visit with Dr. Harrison?

Your initial consultation with Dr. Harrison is absolutely free. Dr. Harrison will take a detailed history to fully understand your health challenges, concerns, and goals. If you mutually agree to move forward, Dr. Harrison will perform a thorough examination and take any necessary X-rays. Passive therapy such as ice, heat, or muscle stimulation, may be applied after the exam to provide some relief until Dr. Harrison has had a chance to analyze your films and correlate them with your exam findings. This process usually takes us 24 hours, at which time you would return for a report of your findings and recommendations for care, such as spinal decompression.

  • What does the first visit cost?

In the worst-case scenario, your first visit would cost $179. In the best-case scenario, it would cost $79. If you have insurance that you will be using in the office, the cost of your chiropractic or physiotherapy treatment may be less than $79.
